How much is a re-gas?
A service and re-gas is $195. As with any repair, we’ll inspect your car first to ensure there are no leaks or component failure which would have led to the system failing. If you are low on gas as a result of a leak, we won’t be able to put more gas in until we fix it. Not only is it poor practice to re-gas a leaking system, it will eventually cost you more money to fix and it’s against the law.
How much is a quote?
We offer a free inspection/quote so you’ll know how much your repair will be before we start doing any work. If you’d like to go ahead, we’ll get one of our talented technicians on the job right away. If not, no problem! You’re welcome to pick your car up as soon as you like, and if at a later date you decide to go ahead with the repair, just give us a call to book in for a day that suits you.
How much does it cost to get my A/C fixed?
The cost of your A/C repair will depend on two things, the make and model of your car, and which component(s) need replacing. Unfortunately it’s impossible to give you an exact idea of how much a repair will be, so it’s best to book an appointment so we can have a look at your car and provide you with a comprehensive quote.
Are you a mobile service?
No, our state of the art workshop in Milton is fully equipped with everything we need to diagnose and repair your air conditioning, with most repairs completed the same day.
When can I bring my car in and how long does it take?
We open at 7:30am and need your car dropped off by 8:30am. We’ll usually have your quote prepared within a couple of hours and will give you a call to let you know how much the repair will be and how long it will take. To make an appointment just call us or send us a message in our contact box.
Can you do the work in the same day?
Most of the time, yes. If however we need to order a part from one of our suppliers or your repair will take longer than a day, we’ll let you know ahead of time.
Is it cheaper to replace the entire A/C system than replace the broken parts?
Never. Here at Mr Cool we believe that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! While all the components of your A/C system work together, they each perform their own specific function. So if a few components of your A/C system have failed, it certainly doesn’t mean that you need a whole new system (which believe us, is extremely costly and time consuming). Car parts, like everything else have a lifespan and once they’re replaced, your A/C will be good as new!
Are aftermarket parts okay to use?
Absolutely! We only use quality aftermarket parts that we’ve tried and tested in house. If you’d prefer to use only genuine parts, we can certainly order them in for you.
